A NEW way of accessing testing for HIV infection is available.

Solent NHS Trust’s Sexual Health Service has launched Rapid HIV testing in community settings across Hampshire. The free service allows clients to receive their result within a minute.

Andrew Smith, Sexual Health Promotion and HIV Prevention Lead, said: ‘Rapid HIV testing is an opportunity to normalise HIV testing and offers opportunities for people to access a test outside of a clinical setting.’

It will be launched at Friendship House in Elm Grove, Southsea on Wednesday, March 26 at 3pm.
