Could you provide a listening ear for charity?

VOLUNTEERS are being asked to come forward and lend a helping hand and listening ear to people suffering from a nerve condition.

The Motor Neurone Disease Association needs more people in the Portsmouth and south east region to help those suffering from the disorder.

The charity is looking for more association visitors, who will go out and speak to sufferers of motor neurone disease (MND).

Lucy Etheridge, volunteering development co-ordinator, said: ‘Having more association visitors will mean a great difference to people with MND.

‘It can be a great way to meet new people and develop individual skills.

‘We want to reach as many people as possible with MND but we can’t do it alone. Those who train as visitors come from all walks of life, and all backgrounds.

‘You don’t need personal experience of MND, just the desire to make a difference.’

For more information call 01452 781035 or email lucy.etheridge@mndassociation.org.
