Drink-driver had no car insurance

A 50-YEAR-OLD admitted drink-driving without insurance and while banned from the roads to Portsmouth magistrates.

Bernadette Avila, of Vernon Avenue, Southsea, committed the offences in the same street on June 26.

A test revealed her breath contained 68 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres. The legal limit is 35mcg.

Avila must pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs. She was fined £100 and given a three-year driving ban.
