A NEW singing group is being set up for cancer patients and their families.
People are being invited to an introductory session at Portsmouth Watersports Centre, in Eastern Road, Portsmouth, to find out what it is all about.
It will be held on Friday, April 19 from 7pm until 9pm.
The initiative is being created by Simon Long, founder of Fine Voice Studios, in partnership with Wessex Cancer Trust.
All ages and abilities are welcome.
The trust said it is all about singing and having fun and scientific studies prove taking part in music can contribute to the healing process. It added that singing can increase lung capacity, breathe control and increase your oxygen intake.
