Get tested and take part in record attempt

SEXUALLY active people can take part in a record-breaking attempt and get tested for chlamydia.

As previously reported, Solent NHS Trust, which provides sexual health services in the Portsmouth area, wants to test as many people in 24 hours on Thursday.

Rebecca Perrin, chlamydia lead nurse at the trust, said: ‘This aims to be a bit of fun on the world’s most romantic day of the year while sharing a serious message – encouraging young people to get tested and treated for chlamydia.

‘The test is easy; all you have to do is pee into a pot and hand it back to us.

‘Tests have to be completed on the day for them to count towards the world record.’

To take part, go to:

University of Portsmouth, Winston Churchill Avenue, from 10am to 5pm.

Liquid nightclub, Stanhope Road, from 9pm to midnight.
