PEOPLE are being encouraged to become a member of the Solent NHS Trust.
The trust is asking Portsmouth residents to become a member of the trust and influence community and mental healthcare services in their area.
As part of its commitment to becoming a foundation trust later this year, the trust needs to recruit 10,500 members from within the local communities it serves.
As a member of the trust, people will be encouraged to influence decisions about the trust’s future by attending local events such as public board meetings, health talks on common conditions and issues that affect the health of the local community.
They will also be as helping to recruit other members and participating in focus groups or surveys about the trust and the services that it provides.
Members will also benefit from discounts through the NHS Discounts scheme.
Membership is free and open to anyone over the age of 14.
