Make time for tea to help a cancer charity

DRINK a cuppa while raising awareness of cancer research by organising a tea party.

That’s the message being given by The Eve Appeal, which looks into gynaecological cancer research.

It is asking people to take part in its Make Time for Tea campaign during ovarian cancer awareness month in March.

Nationally, more than 6,500 women are diagnosed with the disease, which results in 4,400 deaths.

The charity says more needs to be done to raise awareness and money to fight the cancer, and hopes sponsored tea parties will help.

Chief executive Robert Marsh said: ‘It’s such an easy way to fundraise – all you need to do is put the kettle on and host a vintage tea party at home, work or school.

‘Have some vintage fun, while raising much-needed funds for all women.’
