Panto stars raise smiles at QA

CHILDREN at Queen Alexandra Hospital were treated to a visit by panto stars.

Cast members from Cinderella, which is on at Ferneham Hall in Fareham, paid a visit to kids in the Starfish Ward of the Cosham hospital.

They spoke to young children and helped make them smile while they are in hospital so close to Christmas. Flynn McCarthy, six, of Old Rectory Road, Farlington, was very excited to see the cast.

He said: ‘I like pantos because I like all the singing and having my picture taken with Buttons.’

Carly Thoms plays Cinderella.

She said: ‘It’s touching to see all these kids. ‘They are ill and its good to bring some festivity to them.

‘The parents are amazing too, it must be tough for them to see their kids in hospital, more so at this time.’

Cinderella runs until January 6.
