Prostate cancer support meeting

ARE you worried about prostate problems? Have you recently been diagnosed and want advice?

The local Prostate Cancer Network, central branch, covers Hampshire and West Sussex and is holding a meeting next month to offer support to people who need it.

Prostate cancer kills one man every hour in the UK, or 10,000 a year.

It has overtaken lung cancer as the most common cancer in men.

However, if caught early it can usually be cured with modern treatments.

Men are notoriously poor in addressing their own health problems, and with prostate cancer they may not know they have a problem until it’s too late.

The meeting, on Friday June 13, is an opportunity to discuss prostate cancer and share experiences over refreshments.

It is at Sacred Heart and Peter the Apostle, 356a London Road, Waterlooville, at 7pm. Admission is free and the meeting is open to all. Parking is free.
