Top health figure goes

A LEAD nursing figure has retired after more than two decades of providing care.

Judy Hillier, an executive director of nursing and quality at Solent NHS Trust, which provides community and mental health services in Portsmouth, has retired.

She rose from training as a nurse at Westminster Hospital, where she later worked as a sister in the Intensive Treatment Unit and cardiology.

She then went on to her last role as the trust’s director of nursing and quality, for Solent NHS Trust.

She said: ‘I have been thinking about retiring for some time and have decided now was the right time for me and my family.

‘I will certainly take the opportunity to travel and do more sports but I also need more flexible time to support my five older relatives and grandchildren.’
