THE air ambulance for the county that had temporarily been suspended is now flying again.

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance had confirmed there has been a temporary suspension of its flight since yesterday evening.

The suspension had been put in place by Bond Air Services, which has halted all its EC 135 helicopter – the same model which crashed on to The Clutha bar in Glasgow, killing nine people.

The grounding came after a fault was discovered on a EC 135 operated by Bond for the North West Air Ambulance.

But the service has now been given the all-clear to run again.
