Virtual horse race night for Ickle Pickles

A VIRTUAL horse race night is taking place to raise money for a neo-natal charity.

The event has been organised by Alex Ireson for Ickle Pickles.

It takes place at Southwick Park Golf Club, in Southwick.

People can look forward to an auction, a raffle and virtual horse racing.

Alex, of Vectis Way, Cosham, gave birth to her daughter Matilda in Queen Alexandra Hospital, in May 2011.

She had to have a Caesarean section, due to complications, and Matilda was born weighing only 1lb and 6oz.

The tiny tot spent 92 days in the neo-natal unit at QA.

The family was supported by the Ickle Pickles charity.

Alex, 30, said: ‘I want to show my appreciation for the help I got from the hospital and charity.

‘Matilda has been very poorly and spent a lot of time in hospital.

‘She’s much better now, although she is susceptible to lung problems.

‘But still she’s doing fine and I want to say thank you with this fundraiser.

‘There’s about 20 tickets left, and we’d really like people to come along.

‘There’s a big screen, which will have the racing on for the night.’

Tickets cost £10 per person.

For more information about the night, or to buy tickets, email alex.ireson@yahoo.com.
