Winter advice is given by ambulance service

SOUTH Central Ambulance Service is asking members of the public to prepare for all eventualities this winter.

The service asks people to check their house number is visible in case emergency services need to find them.

Other winter guidance includes trying to keep your home warm, and using hot water bottles or an electric blanket to keep yourself warm if you need to.

Eating well, and making sure you have hot meals and drinks regularly can also help.

Wear layers, and make sure if you are going out to wear appropriate footwear with a sturdy grip, especially in snow.
