MICHELE Flower was the winner of a new category at this year’s Best of Health Awards.

For saving the life of baby Emma Benson, Michele was crowned Midwife of the Year.

Nicky Benson was 32 weeks pregnant when she had an emergency Caesarean section, after telling Michele she hadn’t felt her baby move.

She is grateful for Michele’s advice as it saved the life of little Emma.

Michele, 48, has been a midwife for 22 years.

She said: ‘It’s overwhelming to be a winner.

‘I think any nurse in that situation would’ve done the same thing I did.

‘I’m grateful for the award.’
