PATIENTS who have received outstanding care can nominate health professionals for a new award.

Hampshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Hampshire Community Health Care have teamed up to launch the Star Awards 2011.

The NHS organisations, which provide community, mental health and learning disability services, want to hear from people who have been cared for by an individual or team that has gone the extra mile to make them or a friend or relative feel comfortable and looked-after.

The awards will take place on July 22 and entries must be in by April 29. The winner will be the person or the team with the most nominations.

If it is a draw, the winner will be picked by a panel.

To nominate someone who works for the two organisations visit hampshirepartnership.nhs.uk/publicstars or call Amanda Owen on (023) 8087 4269.
