A MENTAL health trust that provides some services in Hampshire has appointed a new chief executive.
Colm Donaghy will be taking over at the Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust on July 1 this year.
John Bacon, chairman of the Sussex Partnership, said: ‘I’m very pleased we have appointed someone of Colm’s calibre.
‘He is a highly experienced, with knowledge and expertise in health and social care.’
Mr Donaghy is currently the chief executive of the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust – the largest healthcare provider in Northern Ireland.
He said: ‘Mental health affects one in four of us and is a major cause of premature death. But we clearly have a way to go to achieve parity of esteem between physical and mental health care.’
