DOCTORS in the Portsmouth and south-east Hampshire area are meeting senior clinicians and managers to work on building stronger relationships.

The GPs will meet staff from Solent NHS Trust, which provides mental health care for the Portsmouth area, to have a better working relationship, which will benefit patients.

Trust chief executive Dr Ros Tolcher will give a presentation on plans to become a foundation trust next year.

And there will be presentations on diabetes by Queen Alexandra Hospital consultant Dr Partha Kar, and another on adult mental health by Dr Mustafa Soomro.

There will also be information stands to highlight the type of services offered by Solent NHS Trust.

The event is on Tuesday, November 20, at the Hilton Hotel, Portsmouth starting from 6pm.

GPs wishing to attend can still book their place.
