FEW spaces remain to attend an open day on inflammatory bowel disease.

Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham, is holding the event for the first time.

During the open day, guests will have presentations from gastroenterologists, surgeons and nurses with a question and answer session at the end.

Wendy Fletcher, a clinical nurse specialist in gastroenterology, said: ‘We hope this will be an opportunity for patients and carers to find out more about how this difficult condition can be managed.

‘There will be information from Crohns and Colitis UK and a presentation describing how we can help.’

The open day is at the Oasis Centre at QA Hospital on November 11 between 10am and 1pm. To book a place call (023) 9228 6000 extension 5943.
