A PHARMACY has been honoured for being ‘the best branch’ in a national chain.

Rowlands Pharmacy, in Kingston Crescent, Portsmouth was awarded Branch of the Year 2011, while Debby Crockford was handed Area Manager of the Year.

This double celebration comes after the first Rowlands Pharmacy Excellence Awards, which recognises and rewards exceptional achievements of its staff.

The awards were open to all stores and individuals, and nominations came from staff and customers who voted in a number of categories.

Debby said: ‘I would like to thank everyone who voted. This means a great deal to the staff at the Kingston Crescent store and to myself.

‘The Excellence Awards have a vital part to play in taking forward initiatives, which make our services more efficient and effective to local people.

Kenny Black, managing director of Rowlands Pharmacy, said: ‘We are extremely proud of our staff and the difference they have made to the organisation.’
