GLITZ and glamour is the theme for a sponsored walk being carried out by a team of physiotherapists for Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Seven physiotherapy technicians, who work at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, will be taking part in an 11-mile walk to the former Royal Hospital Haslar site in Gosport.

Taking part in the walk, which has a Strictly Come Dancing theme, is Heather Brann, 37.

She said: ‘We work with both men and women post breast cancer surgery to help with movement of their arms.

‘We have encountered hundreds of people that have suffered and know friends and families that have too, so that’s why we are doing this walk.’

The team chose to walk to the former Haslar site, because breast surgery used to be performed there.

The walk takes place on Wednesday, October 26, from 4pm. Money raised will be donated to Breast Cancer Care.
