A COMMUNITY health provider serving the Portsmouth area has been shortlisted for a national award.

Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust features in three categories in this year’s Health Service Journal (HSJ) Awards.

The trust is in the running for the following categories: Provider Trust of the Year, Creating Sustainable NHS Providers and Board Leadership.

Sue Harriman, acting chief executive for the trust, said: ‘It’s such an honour to be shortlisted for these awards, and this level of recognition is testament to the hard work of our staff as they strive to deliver excellent care.’

The awards will be announced and presented in a ceremony on November 19, at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

Alastair McLellan, editor-in-chief for the HSJ, said: ‘The shortlisted organisations have been specifically chosen as leaders in innovation and best practice.

‘We received a record number of entries.’
