MORE than £2,000 was raised for charity by company Carillion.

The facilities management firm at Queen Alexandra Hospital held its annual health and wellbeing event, in support of The Rowans Hospice and The Elizabeth Foundation.

Thousands of pounds was raised through raffle tickets, bids and purchases of a variety of items, including more than 40 hampers.

Steve Jones, general manager, said: ‘The day was a huge success, helping us achieve our target goal of £1,000 per charity. The support we’ve had from businesses has been phenomenal – and I’d like to thank them all.’
