Here’s what inspectors found at QA that made them write a scathing report - dirty linen, patients being ignored while choking and medicine left out

PARENTS are being encouraged to become real-life superheroes and ensure their children are vaccinated.

A street team from Portsmouth City Council will be giving out information on why the innoculations are important, and will be in three places next month.

They will also be giving out branded balloons and flags to colour in, so children are able to start to understand why vaccinations are important.

Matt Pickerill, development manager for health protection at the city council, said, ‘Getting your children vaccinated is so important because it helps to protect them from potentially fatal illnesses.

‘We don’t want parents and children to fear vaccinations, so we are touring Portsmouth giving out tips and advice. This will hopefully encourage parents to take their children for their jabs.’

The team can be found in the following locations, between 10am to 4.30pm:

· Wednesday, April 3, Morrison’s, Victory Retail Park.

· Thursday, April 4, Commercial Road, outside New Look.

· Friday, April 5, Asda, The Bridge Shopping Centre, Fratton.
