Research by Portsmouth university shows girls want to know about breast cancer

A Portsmouth woman raised around £300 for health charities with by organising a Christmas fair in a pub.

Emma Carpenter staged the event at The Eastfield in Prince Albert Road, Southsea.

The pub offered free pool and free jukebox all day and karaoke in the main bar in the evening.

Proceeds will go to the cancer ward at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham and the heart unit at Southampton General Hospital.

Emma said she chose them because of the help given there to relatives.
