A CLINICAL team is up for a national award.

Staff at Queen Alexandra Hospital, who look for better ways to treat patients, have been short-listed in the Research Culture category at the Health Service Journal Awards.

Three years ago, the Cosham hospital carried out new clinical trials and research projects into developing clinical care.

But now it is one of the leading sites in the area, carrying out 300 clinical research projects a year.

Head of the research team Professor Anoop Chauhan said: ‘We’re proud to be short-listed for this award and will continue to work as a team and with other organisations to take part in as many trials and projects as possible.’

The ceremony takes place in London on November 15.
