Quick off the draw

A CHARITY has raised £520 in a 24-hour drawing challenge fundraiser for its 40th anniversary.

Off The Record, based in Purbrook Way, Havant, took part in the world’s largest national drawing festival, The Big Draw.

The event saw 60 people come together to take part in drawing postcards, which were later auctioned off for £60, with £45 being raised from donations and £415 from JustGiving.

The event was well received, with one committee member saying it was a ‘wonderful day with energy and passion’.

Another supporter said that ‘mental health is a subject close to my heart’ and lauded the event as a ‘fab fundraising effort’ with ‘great work being done by Off The Record and all those that benefit from the service’.

The final figure totalled £781.03.

The annual event, The Big Draw, took place between October 1-31 and saw people take part across the country – with some events still going on.
