SMOKERS in Portsmouth will receive help to quit on No Smoking Day.

The Pompey Quit team and health trainers will have a stall in Commercial Road, Portsmouth next Wednesday offering advice on how to kick the habit.

They aim to send people on to free local services that will help them give up.

And they will discourage 20-a-day smokers by reminding them they can save £2,400 a year if they do quit.

Pompey Quit runs individual sessions, drop-ins and sociable groups across Portsmouth and can offer nicotine replacement therapy for 12 weeks for those giving up. Call (023) 9236 9234 to find out more.
