RADIOGRAPHERS have agreed to accepting a government pay offer.

Members of the Society of Radiographers, including those from Queen Alexandra Hospital, went on strike after the government refused to award a one per cent pay increase as recommended by an independent pay review body.

Following the strikes, the government has offered radiographers a one per cent pay increase.

Paul Moloney, the society’s industrial relations manager, said: ‘Radiographers have simply wanted to be treated fairly.

‘Unfortunately members working in senior positions, undertaking managerial roles, have still been denied justice by the government’s refusal to apply the increase to the higher pay rates. We will vigorously pursue this at future pay reviews.’
