THE Alzheimer’s Society showcased the work and activities it offers during a memory day event for Dementia Awareness Week.

Visitors to the John Pounds Centre in Portsmouth could find out more about dementia and have a go at some of the activities used to help stimulate patients, such as arts and crafts and singing.

Carol Elliott from the Alzheimer’s Society said: ‘We wanted the day to be about raising awareness as well as having fun and showing people the kinds of activities that can help people with dementia.’
