EVERY bride wants her wedding day to be perfect – from the flowers to the dress, from the reception to her make-up and hair.

And it’s often a very stressful time, getting ready for that big day, knowing that dozens of camera lenses will be pointing in your direction.

The pressure to look your best is immense, and that’s where Annette Bradford steps in.

Her salon Elegance Bridal Coiffure at the Westbrook Centre in Grassmere Way, Waterlooville, offers a ‘one-to-one’ salon service, meaning that bridal parties can completely relax, without any interruptions.

Annette said: ‘I work on my own and I don’t take in walk-in people. That means that I can dedicate all my attention to that special person.

‘I’m not distracted because there is nobody else in the salon. The bridal party can take over and that puts them at ease.

‘I’ve had brides coming in on the morning of their wedding, that way they can have a laugh, share some bubbles and croissants and be at ease knowing everything they need to look good is right here.’

The salon doesn’t only offer hair dressing, it also provides a range of beauty treatments including manicures, pedicure and micro dermabrasion.

Annette has been hairdressing for over 40 years and said that her favourite part is still ‘up-dos’.

This year, the salon has been short-listed for a national bridal hair award on website hitched.co.uk and her designs have spread as far as New York and Hong Kong. It has also been nominated for a Best Bridal award in The News Hair and Beauty Awards.

Readers can nominate their favourite stylists and salons by filling in the form published in The News today.

The winners are announced at an award ceremony in June, presented by hair and beauty expert and TV personality, Amy Childs.

Annette said: ‘It was so nice to be short-listed this year and for my designs to go so far, but to win an award at The News’ Hair and Beauty Awards would be fantastic.’

Full details of the contest are in The News today.
