HUNDREDS of people attended a moving memorial service to raise money and remember lost loved ones.

Around 1,500 people went to the event in Portchester Memorial Gardens, in Upper Cornaway Lane, for The Rowans Hospice.

A bagpiper played music and hymns were sung.

The Fareham Philharmonic Choir sang carols, while families lit tealights and let them float across a lake.
