PEOPLE are being reminded to donate blood during the summer months.

The NHS Blood and Transplant traditionally sees a dip in the number of donors in the warmer months.

And it says in the summer red blood cells only have a shelf life of 35 days and platelets a shelf life of five days, meaning more donors are needed.

If you would like to donate blood then visit the following centres.

n On Monday, you can donate at the Havant Leisure Centre, Civic Centre Road, Havant, from 2pm to 3.55pm and 5pm to 7.15pm.

n On Tuesday, people can go to the Hayling Island Community Centre, Station Road, between 1.30pm to 3.25pm and again from 4.30pm to 7.30pm.

n Donors in the Gosport area can visit Thorngate Halls, Bury Road, on Thursday, July 28, from 1.30pm to 3.25pm and 4.30pm to 7.30pm.

n Or you can visit the Cosham Community Centre, Wootton Street, Cosham, on Friday, July 29, between 1.30pm and 3.25pm and 4.30pm and 7.30pm.
