CALLS are being made for preparations to start for a month of appreciation for the air ambulance service.

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance wants people to support its first Love Your Air Ambulance Month in October.

Throughout the month, the charity will ask members of the public to show their appreciation for the work done on a daily basis by its paramedics, doctors and pilots by seeing how much money they can raise.

A certificate will be presented to the company that manages to raise the most money.
