MUMS rallied together to help make Portsmouth more breastfeeding-friendly.

World Breastfeeding Week, which runs until August 7, and is organised by Breastfeeding Action, also hosts the Big Latch On.

Around the world, women will aim to

breastfeed at the same time, to raise awareness of it.

Around 18 mums gathered in Castle Field, Southsea, yesterday morning, to socialise and feed their children.

Breastfeeding Network volunteer Danielle Baldwin, 31, said: ‘It was a great day, and we were pleased with the mums who were there.

‘There was a mixture of professions, and babies from two-weeks-old to five years old, were being fed.

‘We hope to make this an annual event.’
