A SUPPORT group is holding a sight-loss awareness day.

The Waterlooville-based group are hoping to make people more aware of macular degeneration – a condition which causes a loss of central vision.

Group leader Ruby Snape said: ‘I think a lot of people have macular disease but don’t realise it, so this will be a good way of providing information.’

They are inviting residents to join them this Saturday at the Age Concern Centre, London Road, Cowplain, 10am to midday. There will be refreshments and a raffle.
