A CHARITY has urged people to sign up for its bike ride to raise funds.

Portsmouth Hospitals Charity is looking for enthusiastic cyclists to take part in the London-to-Brighton Cycle on Sunday, September 6.

The challenge will begin in south London and cyclists will travel through countryside before finishing in Brighton.

No previous experience is required, but preparation for the event is recommended.

The charity supports the patients of Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust by improving facilities and providing additional equipment, supporting research programmes and innovation in the development of services, and providing education to patients and staff.

Participants can choose to support and fundraise for an area of the hospital that is important to them.

There is a £25 registration fee and a minimum sponsorship of £150 required.
