PEOPLE who want to raise money and awareness of a dementia charity are being invited to take part in a fundraising walk.

The annual Memory Walk, which is organised by the Alzheimer’s Society, takes place on Saturday, September 27.

Registration is at 10am with the walk starting at 11am.

People can choose from two routes – a short 3km or a longer 10km.

It starts and finishes on Castle Field, in Southsea, and there will be a Zumba warm-up before the walks begin.

A spokesman said: ‘Please join us, it’s our fundraising day to walk, share and celebrate someone special with a community feel, small in size but special for everyone who comes.

‘Whichever walk you choose and wherever you walk with us helps us raise much-needed funds for people in your area with dementia – so let’s get fundraising and make every step count.’
