MORE than 200 people attended an day to learn more about how to look after their skin.

Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust held a dermatology open day at St Mary’s Health Community Campus, in Milton Road, Milton.

The event, which was organised by consultant dermatologist Sam Hunt, gave people an insight into the services the department offers and a chance to take advantage of skin cancer screening.

Dr Hunt said: ‘This was an extremely well-attended and received event.

‘The feedback from those who came along was outstanding and next year we may change to a larger venue as demand for this service increases.’

Doctors and nurses gave talks about common skin complaints such as acne, psoriasis and eczema, and answered any questions that people had.
