ALCOHOL, hepatitis and fatty liver will all be discussed at an annual liver conference.
The Portsmouth Liver Disease Symposium takes place on Friday, October 3, from 9.15am to 4pm.
It takes place at the Oasis Wellness Centre, in Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham.
A panel of expert speakers from across the country will gather to cover a range of topics.
It includes the following topics:
- Alcohol misuse in the military;
- Alcohol problems and the night-time economy;
- Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease;
- Tackling the Hepatitis C epidemic.
Talks will also take place from a number of specialists.
This includes Alan Knobel, from Portsmouth City Council’s substance misuse team, to talk about alcohol issues.
