A NEW support group for people suffering from chronic fatigue is hosting its first session next week.

The Living In Greater Health Today (Light) group has been formed to help those affected by the symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome, ME, fibromyalgia or chronic pain.

Facilitators will provide information on research, help people feel less alone with their experience, teach basic tools on everyday nutrition and lead exercises.

Spokesperson Juliet Vorster said: ‘We view and treat disease as more than just a physical occurrence, and health as more than just freedom from disease.

‘We understand that the human physical experience is just one aspect of our being, and that it is closely linked to our mental outlook and spiritual health.

‘We believe that education and inspiration can empower anyone to bring about positive changes in his or her physical well-being.’

People suffering from symptoms such as aches and pains through the body, chronic pain, anxiety and panic attacks, disrupted sleep patterns, intolerance of loud noises, digestive problems, stress and depression, are all welcome to attend.

The first session is on Monday, September 3, from 3pm to 4pm, at the Serenity Sanctuary Body-Mind-Spirit Centre, in Brockhurst Road, Gosport.

A second session will be held on Thursday from 7pm to 8pm.

There is a nominal charge of £5 per meeting and healthy refreshments are supplied.
