A COFFEE morning gave people the chance to learn more about strokes.

Representatives from the Stroke Association were invited to a coffee morning at The Plaza, on Civic Centre Road, in Havant.

They were there to give advice and also take people’s blood pressure.

Ruth Dunkin, fundraising co-ordinator, said: ‘This year, the Mayor of Havant, Paul Buckley, is supporting our charity so he invited us along to one of his coffee mornings.

‘We were joined by other stroke clubs and we handed out information on strokes and how to deal with them.

‘We hope to do similar things in the future.’
