STUDENTS learned about how to lead a healthier lifestyle during a fun college event.

Young people at Havant College took part in an event called Be Healthy.

Seventeen health-related agencies visited the college and set up stands covering a variety of topics, including healthy food, alternative therapies, housing, anti-social behaviour, mental health, substance abuse, and exercise.

Health and social care students at Havant also contributed to the day, setting up their own information stands on how to feel happy in your own skin, alcohol abuse, healthy eating, drug awareness, sexual health and the dangerous of smoking.

Students had the opportunity to tuck in to a healthy breakfast in the college refectory.

Trish Thorn, student guidance and welfare officer, said: ‘This year’s event has been a great success and I am especially proud of the efforts of our health and social care students for all of their hard work designing and running their stalls. They have made a brilliant effort in engaging our students and promoting a healthier lifestyle.’
