SMOKERS looking to kick the habit as part of their new year’s resolution are being reminded that help is available.

PompeyQuit, which is run by Solent NHS Trust, offers free clinics across the city for those wanting to give up smoking.

PompeyQuit manager Sian Howells said: ‘Anyone who is thinking of quitting in the new year should get in touch with us.

‘We are here to help and can tailor our support methods to individual needs.

‘We want everyone to have the chance and choice of becoming a non-smoker and with us you are four times more likely to become one.

‘By contacting us you will get the best advice and support on stopping smoking.

‘Along with health benefits of quitting smoking, stopping can also feel like an instant cash injection during the current credit crunch, and the support PompeyQuit give is completely free.’

Those interested can call (023) 9236 9234 or text NYE to 88020 and a team member will call you back.
