CANCER sufferers are being encouraged to take part in a free six-week support programme to help them live with the illness.

The group is run by people who have had experience of cancer themselves and aims to help participants better manage their symptoms by offering advice.

The sessions, which run from 1pm to 3.30pm, begin on February 20, and take place at the Macmillan Centre in Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth.
