There’s still time to register for a cycle challenge and raise money for charity.

The Rowans Hospice is holding its fourth Ruby Ride around Portsmouth, Purbrook and Petersfield this month.

There are three routes to choose from, all starting from Lakeside in North Harbour, Portsmouth.

The Epic 65-mile course sets off at 9.30am, the Challenge 30-mile course leaves at 10am and the Leisure 18-mile course starts at 10.30pm.

Participants are encouraged to raise sponsorship as all monies raised go towards providing hospice care in Portsmouth and south-east Hampshire.

The Ruby Ride has raised £160,000 over the past three years.

There are refreshment stops en route and everyone taking part receives a T-shirt to wear on the day and medal when they cross the finishing line.

People are asked to try to raise £100 in sponsorship.

It takes place on Sunday, September 20.

To register, visit rowanshospice.co.uk or call (023) 9223 7142.
