TALKING therapies are being offered to people in the new year for those feeling depressed or anxious.

The service, called italk, provides talking therapies such as cognitive behavioural therapy, which is aimed at helping people overcome thoughts and behaviours that can lead to feeling low or having panic attack.

The service is being offered to people in Fareham, Gosport and Havant.

It is run by staff from Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust and mental health charity Solent Mind.
