A SHORT film has been put together to highlight issues transgender people face while going through changes.

Patient watchdog group Hampshire Healthwatch has been working with transgender charity Chrysalis to find out about the issues.

As a result Healthwatch has created a 15-minute video called Listening to the Transgender Community and will show it at a dinner fundraising event.

Steve Taylor, manager of Healthwatch Hampshire, said: ‘Working on this project has been incredibly interesting.

‘I hope the film will be used by people who work in the health service to better appreciate the needs faced by the people in this video, and will know they are not alone and can get support and help.

‘We have been proud to work with Chrysalis on producing a film to help those transitioning.’

It takes place at Wallington Village Hall, in Broadcut, Fareham, on January 23, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

Tickets are free, but people need to book their place, go to healthwatchhampshire.co.uk
