A SUSSEX hospital trust has teamed up with a cancer charity, to provide patients and their families more support.
Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs St Richard’s Hospital, in Chichester, is working with Macmillan to offer advice on things such as healthy living, emotional and psychological support and financial advice.
A Living Well With and Beyond Cancer day has been organised, which takes place on Tuesday, July 2.
It is being held at The Assembly Rooms, Chichester, from 11am to 2pm.
Anyone is welcome to attend – patients, relatives, friends or carers.
Tim Hutson, general manager for cancer services at the trust, said: ‘The treatments we offer are getting better all the time – that is great news for many people, but it also means that there are growing numbers of people either living with cancer, or living with the after effects.
