Volunteers needed for online rheumatology scheme in Portsmouth

The department of rheumatology at Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham, would like to hear from patients, their family and friends.

As a volunteer, people will be part of a team over the next year helping to shape and improve education and support using social media, webpages, YouTube videos and animation.

A spokeswoman said: ‘This is a great opportunity for people living with rheumatic diseases, and their family and friends, to get directly involved in our work.

‘If you want to support your local rheumatology services and improve quality of patient education and support, and you’re interested in developing new skills then get in touch.’

An information event is happening at the hip and knee school within QA Hospital on April 19 at 6pm.
