Walk by QA Hospital nurse raises cash for MS charity

A NURSE is hoping to raise thousands of pounds after walking 100km in just over 25 hours.

Hepatology specialist research nurse Bev Longhurst walked the long route to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Bev, who works at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham, completed the walk with two friends.

She said: ‘I was inspired to do the walk by a good friend who was recently diagnosed with a severe form of the condition.

‘There were three of us and we did it non-stop, and without sleep, in just over 25 hours.

‘We hope that we will have raised more than £3,000 by the time all the money has rolled in.’
